Dr. Amer bin Awadh Al-Rawas

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Rawas is the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel). Prior to his current post, he served as the Managing Director – Oman Mobile.

Dr. Rawas holds a PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Sussex University, UK, 1997. In the academic field prior to his joining the Telecom Sector, Dr. Rawas served in various academic and leadership positions at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). His last assignment was the Dean of Educational Services.

Mr. Talal Said Marhoon Al Mamari

Vice President Finance

Mr. Talal Said Al Mamari is the Vice President of Finance unit. His industry experience extends to leading the finance function in the organizations for the past 5 years and Board memberships in a number of companies in the telecom & ICT domains. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh – Pennsylvania.

Mr. Samy Ahmed Al Ghassany

Vice President Integrated Network and Technology

Mr. Samy Ahmed Al Ghassany is the Vice President of Integrated Network and Technology unit. He has been working for Omantel and Oman Mobile for the past 17 years. He has Management experience in telecommunications networks and information technology. He Holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy, U.S.A.

Mr. Haitham Abdullah Al Kharusi

Vice President Consumer

Mr. Haitham Abdullah Al Kharusi is the Vice President of Consumer Business Unit. Al Kharusi brings over 15 years of international management experience in the Telecom and other industrial sectors. He previously held various senior management positions at Etisalat, Zantel, Nawras and Oman LNG. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the Edinburgh Business School, UK, M.Sc in Development, Administration & Planning from Bristol University, UK and a BS degree in Government and Politics from University of Maryland, USA.

Mr. Todd M. Dick

Vice President Corporate

Mr. Todd Dick is the Vice President of the Corporate Business Unit.  He brings over 20 years of international experience, 13 of these in the telecom industry.  Having worked in the United States, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific with global companies such as Zain, Telstra and Vodafone, his experience spans functions of management, product, marketing, sales, distribution and infrastructure delivery.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the United States and a Master of Science from Australia.

Mr. Sohail Qadir

Vice President Wholesale

Mr. Qadir is the Vice President of Wholesale Business Unit. He is responsible for International wholesale businesses and also looking after the business for national interconnect partners and mobile resellers. He has more than 16 years of senior management experience in a broad range of IT & Telecom segments with a specific focus on International Wholesale. Before joining Omantel he was the CEO with Worldcall Telecom (an Omantel Company). Mr. Qadir holds B.E. in Computer Systems and Masters in Business Administration.

Mr. Lars O Gustafsson

Vice President Business Development

Mr. Lars O Gustafsson is the Vice President of Business Development Unit. He has 25 years of experience from the telecom industry. Recent positions include Vice President Business Development at Telia and Principal at Cap Gemini. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics.

Dr. Ghalib Saif Al Hosni

Vice President Human Resources

Dr. Ghalib Saif Al Hosni is the Vice President of Human Resources Unit. He joined Omantel in 1991. Dr. Ghalib holds Doctorate of Management from Webster University, Missouri United States.
