MUSCAT –
Omantel has conducted a seminar that highlights its corporate business solutions
to the Oil and Gas sector in the Sultanate of Oman, one of its fastest growing
and most innovative areas of business.
Representatives from leading oil and gas companies across Oman attended the
seminar that outlined the comprehensive range of specialized solutions that have
been developed by Omantel’s Corporate Business Unit to ensure companies stay
connected and get closer together both inside and outside Oman.
The broad ranging and highly flexible fixed, mobile and internet solutions are
ideal for the oil and gas sector in Oman as they have very specific requirements
in terms of both their fixed and mobile connectivity.
Often these companies work in very remote areas where there is little or no
infrastructure which makes it more challenging for Omantel to utilize its
comprehensive range of solutions to meet very specific needs and requirements.
Omantel solutions allow head offices in Muscat for example to connect directly
to oil rigs and other installations in highly remote locations ensuring business
efficiency for the customer and connectivity for effective business operations.
Omantel’s Vice President for the Corporate Business Unit, Adil Al Raisi,
welcomed the delegates at the seminar and outlined the importance of the oil and
gas sector both to the broader Omani economy and as a growing part of Omantel’s
own corporate business growth.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Al Raisi said: “The Oil and Gas sector is one of
the strongest sectors in Oman, contributing the most towards the success of the
economy. It is a sector we know and understand well and invested considerable
time and effort in offering companies in this sector tailored solutions to their
fixed and mobile communication requirements.
“We have a comprehensive range of technical and commercial offerings that have
been very successful with companies operating in this sector who need solutions
when operating in some of the most challenging physical environments in the
Sultanate.”
Delegates at the seminar were given presentations on Fixed Connectivity
Solutions, Internet Solutions and Mobile Solutions offered by Omantel and had
the opportunity to meet and connect with Omantel’s specialist Oil and Gas team
who were present.
