Roaming FAQ |
1-
Contact any nearest Oman Mobile Counter to activate the service or call 196
to check if the service available for you.
2- While you are outside
Oman and not getting the network connection you can activate by following
steps:
-Go to menu>settings
-Go to phone settings
-Choose network selection and change it to manual search
-Choose roaming partner network
-Press OK
It
should not take more than 30 minutes after application of service
for Mada subscribers. For Hayyak the service is automatically
activated.
Oman Mobile has roaming
agreement with different types of network(GSM900,
GSM1800, GSM1900, 3G and CDMA).
For local calls within
visited network
using normal dialing,
just dial the area code plus the desired subscriber number. For a call to
Oman, dial +968 plus the subscriber number (mobile or fix).
Yes, you can. Please make
sure you are using the correct SMS service center (+96899300610) in your SMS
settings.

Range of MADA is
not applicable once you are on roaming but you can enjoy all the additional
services that you get under MADA.

there is no service that you do not get while roaming apart from GPRS
service which include MMS and WAP.
2- Top up your card balance by using Omantel/ Oman Mobile machines or Oman
Arab Bill payment machines available in Omantel/ Oman Mobile counters across
Oman.

cannot, the service is still not open with roaming partners of Oman Mobile.

Check Oman Mobile roaming partners in the visiting country by going through
the roaming section on Oman Mobile website.
2- Visit the concerned partner's website and check their roaming charges and
coverage.
3- Check with 1234 if the roaming service is active for your number.
