  • What is Oman Mobile International roaming service?

       

      It is Oman Mobile GSM subscription service outside Oman.

  •  

    What are the countries where Oman Mobile roaming works?

       

      Please refer to Oman Mobile roaming partners list on the website.

  •  

    How do I apply and activate Oman Mobile international roaming service?

       

      1- Contact any nearest Oman Mobile Counter to activate the service or call 196 to check if the service available for you.

      2- While you are outside Oman and not getting the network connection you can activate by following steps:
      -Go to menu>settings
      -Go to phone settings
      -Choose network selection and change it to manual search
      -Choose roaming partner network
      -Press  OK

    How much is the activation charge for international roaming?

       

      There is no activation charge for roaming.

  •  

    What is the credit limit that applies to international roaming?

       

      There is no specific credit limit but monthly bill limit applies.

  •  

    How long does it take to activate roaming service?

       

      It should not take more than 30 minutes after application of service for Mada subscribers. For Hayyak the service is automatically activated.

  •  

    On what type of mobile network can I roam?

       

      Oman Mobile has roaming agreement with different types of network(GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, 3G and CDMA).

  •  

    How do I make calls in foreign countries using Oman Mobile roaming service?

       

      For local calls within visited network using normal dialing, just dial the area code plus the desired subscriber number. For a call to Oman, dial +968 plus the subscriber number (mobile or fix).

    How will I be charged for making and receiving calls while roaming?

       

      Please refer to roaming charges page on the website.

    Can I send and receive SMS while roaming?

       

      Yes, you can. Please make sure you are using the correct SMS service center (+96899300610) in your SMS settings.

    How can I access voicemail while roaming?

     

      You can dial +9685002222 to access voicemail.

  •  

    How will I be charged for sending and receiving SMS while roaming?

       

      Please refer to roaming charges page on the website.

    Can I get all the additional services under Mada while roaming?

       

      Range of MADA is not applicable once you are on roaming but you can enjoy all the additional services that you get under MADA.

    Are there any services that do not work while roaming?

       

      No, there is no service that you do not get while roaming apart from GPRS service which include MMS and WAP.

  •  

    What are the procedures to activate roaming for Hayyak subscribers?

       

      By default all Hayyak  subscribers have the roaming service activated.

  •  

    What are the services that may not work for Hayyak while roaming?

       

      Making voice calls may not work with all Oman Mobile roaming partners.

  •  

    How can I top-up Hayyak card while roaming?

       

      To recharge your Hayyak card while roaming:
      1- Dial: *101*pin# CALL

      2- Top up your card balance by using Omantel/ Oman Mobile machines or Oman Arab Bill payment machines available in Omantel/ Oman Mobile counters across Oman.

    Can I send and receive MMS while roaming?

       

      No you cannot, the service is still not open with roaming partners of Oman Mobile.

    What is the recommended checklist for roaming before leaving the country?

       

      1- Check Oman Mobile roaming partners in the visiting country by going through the roaming section on Oman Mobile website.

      2- Visit the concerned partner's website and check their roaming charges and coverage.
      3- Check with 1234 if the roaming service is active for your number
      .

    If I have a network problem while roaming what should I do?

       

      You may check with the customer care of the visited network OR call back Oman Mobile customer care (+96850001234).

  •  

    If my mobile or SIM is stolen what should I do?

       

      Directly contact Oman Mobile Customer Care (+96850001234) to temporary deactivate your subscription.

  •  

    How can I deactivate roaming service once I return to Oman?

       

      Contact any nearest Oman Mobile counter to deactivate roaming service.
