Ibhar |
|
|
|
Ibhar is a broadband
wireless service which enables you to access the internet at wirelessly
at various public places such as cafes, restaurants, hotels, shopping
malls, airports etc, using a WiFi enabled laptop, PDA or mobile device.
Imagine sipping a cup of coffee and having the freedom to access the
internet through your WiFi enabled device without having to move from
your chair. That’s Ibhar. |

access Ibhar [ADSL/Dialup customers] |
|
|
|
If you are an existing
internet customer, you can access the internet at any hotspot by
using the same ID and password you use at home. At the end of
the month, you will receive a bill clearly detailing your WiFi
usage.
New customers can apply at any of our counters in Muscat.
In addition to postpaid WiFi, prepaid vouchers are still available
at the usual outlets |

Simply
connect to the wireless network (hotspot).
2.
Open your
internet browser and select Oman Mobile.
3.
Enter your
mobile number and select a plan.
4.
Confirm your
option to get your username and password.

How to use the
service |
|
|
|
You have two options to start
using Ibhar: |
|
|
|
Option 1: |
Buying a prepaid voucher from any of the Omantel WiFi
hotspots. |
|
|
Option 2:
|
If
you a dial-up/ADSL Customer you can also access
Omantel WiFi through the same username and password
that you are using to access your Internet |

How to use the
service |

Existing Internet Subscriber:

To start using WIFI,
activate your account through one of the following options: |
|
|
|
|
Option 1:
|
Visit any Omantel Counter in Muscat to activate WIFI for
you. Fill the form “Internet Additional Services
Application Form”. |
|
|
Option 2:
|
Send
an e-mail to
IBHAR@omantel.net.om requesting the service. If
you are a residential customer, please attach a copy
of your ID and your Contract number. |
|
|
Option 3:
|
Through Accessing My Account in
Omantel website. Go to
www.omantel.om ,
click on my account, enter your username and pin
code and then lick on “Activating WiFi” and enjoy
the service. |

New Internet Subscriber:
|
|
|
| |
Simply sign up for
your Post-paid Wifi at the nearest Omantel counter. Choose
“Provide Wireless Internet Access” in the Internet
Application form when signing up for the Internet service.
If you are not an Internet Subscriber, you can still use the
service by purchasing an Ibhar prepaid voucher sold at all
Wireless locations [Hotspots]
