Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate, and Omantel, Oman's first and leading integrated telecommunications services provider, announced a partnership that will benefit the members of each of their loyalty programmes.
Members of Sindbad - the frequent flyer programme of Oman Air, who are enrolled in the Makasib loyalty programme of Omantel, can now exchange their Makasib points for Sindbad miles to receive flight rewards, upgrades and Muscat Duty Free products quicker than ever before.
Makasib points can be easily exchanged for Sindbad miles by dialing a predetermined short USSD *224*1#. Sindbad members can redeem between 3,000 and 25,000 Makasib points and earn between 500 and 7,500 Sindbad miles.
The latest announcement is in keeping with Oman Air and Omantel’s recent agreement to maximize the value of rewards provided by the Makasib and Sindbad loyalty programmes.
On the new partnership, Mohammed Mubarak Al Shikely, Oman Air’s Vice President Marketing, said: “We are delighted to be adding Makasib to our Sindbad frequent flyer programme, as part of our continued efforts to expand the offers and rewards available to our loyal guests. As another step in our partnership with Omantel, we are confident that the initiative will be warmly received by our guests, who will get the maximum value out of both loyalty programmes.”
Haitham Abdullah Al Kharusi, Vice President Consumer, Oman Telecommunications Company, also commented: “The latest partnership is yet another step by two leading providers of services in the country to enhance customer experience. Through this agreement we renew our commitment to bring maximum value to our customers and reward them for their loyalty.”
The partnership agreement will also enable Omantel & Oman Air to jointly maximize their promotional services and products; resulting in a significant improvement in the overall experience of their respective customers. In addition, as part of the agreement, this is the first phase of the two national companies cooperation and more Initiatives are coming to be benefited by both companies customer’s.
