Omantel hosts first ICT summit in the Sultanate


Omantel, the premier telecommunications operator in the Sultanate held its first ICT Summit to showcase the development and deployment of the latest innovative ICT technologies in Oman. 

The event attracted over 200 leading technology companies and vendors under one umbrella and showcased Omantel’s vision in terms of innovative solutions and technologies in cloud computing, smart cities and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The event also showcased how technology has evolved to serve businesses in the Sultanate. The Summit aimed to encourage companies to make the right technology investments that not only cut down their IT and networking budgets but also improve efficiencies while creating and driving new revenue streams.

The event also discussed the solutions provided by Omantel to develop businesses, including the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, the Security and Safety Services Corporation and other leading companies in various fields and industries.
