Change between Baqati and Hayyak and keep your number. To change from Hayyak to Baqati connection or Baqati to Hayyak connection your number should be active and registered with Omantel under your name only.

Conversion Tariff

From Hayyak to Baqati:

  • Conversion from Hayyak to Baqati is FREE if you are using the existing sim card. Sim card charges are applicable in case you are going for a new SIM card.

From Baqati to Hayyak:

  • Conversion from Baqati to Hayyak attracts a fee of OMR 4.5 and the subscriber will pay this upfront. This OMR 4.5 includes 1.5 OMR for credit voucher and 3 OMR for porting charges.
 

Procedure to apply for change

From Hayyak to Baqati:

  1. Customer should fill in “Service Change Authorization" form and submit it to any of the Omantel counters
  2. If the customer wishes to use the existing SIM card number he/ she should mention that in the application.

From Baqati to Hayyak:

  1. Customer should fill in "Service Change Authorization" form and submit to any Omantel counters.

Note:

  • During conversion from Hayyak to Baqati any remaining balance on Hayyak number will be lost.
  • While changing from Baqati to Hayyak any remaining minutes on Mada (10, 20, 40) will be lost.
  • While changing from Baqati to Hayyak if the customer has the SAWA twin service, he/she must use the primary SIM card and the other SIM card will be terminated as Hayyak doesn't have the SAWA service.

Are you a postpaid customer?

Go to Ooredoo counter and obtain "Statement of All Dues" and pay the due amount within one day.

Take the paid "Statement of All Dues" along with the copy of your ID to any Omantel counter and fill out the Mobile Number Portability Customer Authorization Form.

Select postpaid/ prepaid service with Omantel by completing the authorization form. A new SIM card will be issued to you and porting will be completed within 48 to 72 hours subject to validity check and final approval.

Tariff: 2 OMR/-

Are you a prepaid customer?

Visit the nearest Omantel counter, present a copy of your ID and fill out the Mobile Number Portability Authorization Form.

Select postpaid/ prepaid service with Omantel by completing the authorization form. A new SIM card will be issued to you and porting will be completed within 48 to 72 hours subject to validity check and final approval.

Tariff: 2 OMR/-

Are you a business customer?

Go to a Ooredoo counter and ask for a "No Objection" letter for porting to Omantel . Ask for due amount to be paid for this purpose and pay within 4 days.

Take the "No Objection" letter to any Omantel counter or to Omantel  Business Communications Center and fill out the Mobile Number Portability Authorization Form.

A new SIM card will be issued to you.

Tariff: Free

Note:

  • The "Statement of All Dues" is valid for only 24 hours from the date of issue. Therefore, please take it to Omantel counter as soon as possible.
  • The "No Objection" letter is valid for 4 days only
  • Porting should be requested by the owner of the number only, and ID presented to Omantel for porting should also belong to owner.
  • Only active numbers are allowed to be ported
  • You can apply for postpaid or prepaid service with Omantel  regardless of your current service with Ooredoo.
