How to enable eFloos

  • Download the eFloos Application from App Store or Google Play Store .
  •  Run the App and Click on registration button.
  • Follow the registration.
  • Upload a valid National ID. For non-Omani’s a valid passport is also required.
  • The App will ask for Users details, such as, Date of Birth, Address,  Photo of users, National ID Photo (in addition to Passport Copy if non-Omani).
  • After App registration is completed, user will have to wait for Back End verification and Approval which would take a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Upon final verification, the customer will receive a notification and can start using the eFloos mobile app.

  1. What is eFloos Wallet?

    eFloos is a digital mobile wallet app that enables quick, secure and easy payments through smartphone. Instead of using cash or card, simply scan the QR Code available at different merchants across Oman. The eFloos Payment Solution app is available on both iOS and Android operating system and it can be downloaded from the App store and Google play store. Simply download the application today and enjoy cashless payments.

     
  2. What are the features of eFloos?
     
    The features of eFloos include:
    • Add money into your wallet using any debit card issued in Oman.
    • Send and Receive money between eFloos wallet accounts.
    • Request money from other eFloos wallet accounts.
    • Make payments to merchants.


     
  3. Is eFloos Safe to use?
     
    eFloos is a safe and secure method to conduct cashless transactions. All transactions are processed through a secure and encrypted link. There are SMS/Email notifications as well as in-app notifications for all transactions.

     
  4. How can I Use eFloos?

    • Download and install the eFloos Application from App Store or Google Play Store.
    • Run the App and Click on registration button and accept the Terms & Conditions.
    • Follow the registration .
    • Upload a valid National ID. For non-Omani’s a valid passport is also required.

  5. Do I have to be an Omantel Subscriber?
     
    eFloos is available to anyone who has a valid Omani National ID and any Omani mobile phone. As phase 1, eFloos will be available for Omantel subscribers, in Phase 2, will be will be available for bank Sohar International customers, Phase 3 will be available for all subscribers in Oman including visitors and GCC.

     
  6. Are there any charges for non-Omantel Subscribers?
     
    There are no separate charges for any non-Omantel subscribers.

     
  7. I have two mobile phones, can I use eFloos on more than one phone?
     
    Yes, but your eFloos account is linked to your mobile number. Two mobile numbers mean two separate eFloos accounts.

     
  8. How do I change my mobile device, but my mobile number is the same?
     
    The eFloos app will recognize that you have changed your device. An OTP (One-Time Passcode) will be sent to your device. You will need to verify your eFloos account every time you change your phone, since your eFloos account can will have one phone number that is associated with, and that is the one on which you will receive your SMS and notifications on.

     
  9. Is eFloos linked to my Bank Account?
     
    No, eFloos is not linked to your bank account.

     
  10. What card can I use to top-up my eFloos Account?
     
    You can top-up your eFloos account through a payment gateway using a debit card that is issued in Oman or through Omantel bill payment machine.

     
  11. Can I use cash to top-up my eFloos account?
     
    You can top-up your eFloos account using a debit card issued in Oman.

     
  12. How can I make purchases using my eFloos app?
     
    You can make in-Store purchases by scanning the QR Code at accepting merchants. If the transaction is successful you will receive a text message confirming your purchase.

     
  13. Where do I make purchases?
     
    You can make purchases at any store in Oman that accepts eFloos. To view the list of stores Click here.

     
  14. What is the minimum age to open an eFloos account?
     
    The minimum age is 18 years old.

     
  15. Can I send money to anyone?
     
    Yes you can! With the Send Money option available in the app, you can send money between any two eFloos accounts or send money to an unregistered eFloos user. Once you send the money through the sender and receiver will get a text message confirming the transaction.

     
  16. I have funds in my account but I can’t make the transaction
     
    Make sure you have valid and active service line, in case of prepaid. Make sure you have valid Credit/Data/Validity. Other than that call eFloos contact center.

     
  17. Can I change my eFloos Login Pin Code?
     
    Yes, you can. Click on forget Pin Code from the App login screen and follow the instructions.

     
  18. I want to sign up as a merchant for eFloos, who do I call?

  19. What is the maximum amount I can load on my eFloos Account?
     
    The maximum amount that can be loaded in the eFloos account at a given time is OMR 500.

     
  20. Any limitation on transactions?
     
    Yes, Maximum one-time transaction limit is OMR 500.

     
  21. What if my smartphone is lost or stolen?
     
    Immediately notify the eFloos call center if your smartphone is lost or stolen. We will put a hold on your account until you find the smartphone or replace it. If you are replacing your phone with a new one, you will be need to go through the OTP (One-time Passcode) verification process to confirm your new device.

     
  22. Can I Change my mobile number and keep the Same Mobile Payment service account?
     
    Yes, Click on your Profile and change your Mobile number by clicking on you profile picture, you will receive OTP verification code by SMS on the old number to verify the new mobile number change.

     
  23. Can I have more than one eFloos Account?
     
    Each local National ID holder can have up to 10 eFloos accounts as long as each of them is associated with a unique mobile. In order to protect you and your eFloos account, you cannot use the same telephone number or email address for more than one account.

     
  24. Can I use my eFloos in other countries?
     
    At the moment the eFloos is only accepted in the Sultanate of Oman.

     
  25. What if I have a business mobile line and I want to activate eFloos?
     
    We do not restrict, but you may want to see your own company’s policy.

     
  26. I want to terminate my wallet, how can I get cash out my wallet balance?
     
    Each local National ID holder can have up to 10 eFloos accounts as long as each of them is associated with a unique mobile. In order to protect you and your eFloos account, you cannot use the same telephone number or email address for more than one account.
