- Postpaid customers can use 5G service on the smartphone with Baqati bronze, Baqati silver , Baqati gold , Baqati platinum and Baqati al Ufuq
- Prepaid Customers can use 5G service on the smartphone with Hayyak 7 , Hayyak 10 , Hayyak 15 on their smartphone
- BAQATI 5G data only plans provide data connectivity only, and do not include voice and SMS.
- Data usage can be checked using Omantel’s app.
- BAQATI data only plans can be used with devices including routers, tablets and smartphones.
- If the data allowances is fully consumed you can get 50 GB for 5 RO valid for 30 days though Omantel App
- Terms and conditions apply in case of terminating the contract before the expiry date if you chose to get a free router
- Currently the 5G services is enabled with Huawei and Oppo smartphone
- Early exit fees = (Router price /12) * Remaining contract period

How can I connect to the 5G network on my phone?
You need to have a 5G enabled phone; an area that has 5G coverage then you will be able to connect to Omantel’s 5G network from your phone network settings.
What mobile phones can connect to the 5G network?
For the time being, Huawei and Oppo phones (models shown in the compatible devices section). Apple & Samsung devices will be added at a later stage.
How can I purchase the 5G data only plans?
You can purchase the 5G data only plans from the Omantel App under ‘get my services’ section or by visiting your nearest Omantel outlet.
Can I make calls from the 5G Data only Plans?
No, 5G Data only plans are dedicated plans for Internet data only.
You need to register your number in the Omantel App to be able to monitor your usage.
What happens if I consume my monthly Internet data allowance?
You can purchase a data add-on of 50 GB for RO 5 valid for 30 days from the Omantel App.
Is there a contract on these plans?
No, these are non-contract plans; you can cancel anytime without paying any penalty.
Can I get a mobile Wi-Fi with the 5G data only plans?
Yes, you can get a HUAWEI E6878-870 5G Mobile Wi-Fi for FREE upon signing a 12-month contract.
What will be the early termination fees if I get the FREE Mobile Wi-Fi?
Early exit fees = (10RO) * Remaining contract period.
